Have you ever heard a song and you are immediately transported to a particular period in time?
Occasionally, those memories reminds us of beautiful times, of sad moments we never wish to relive. Sometimes, we might have our emotions all over the place because we are yet to process those memories.
All this to say, I appreciate how memories are often associated with music.
I’ll share a few of mine.
🎵 When I listen to 🎶Energy by Greatman Takit, I see Omoyeni dancing to it during her introduction ceremony.
🎵 Whenever 🎶Mo fo fayo by Psalmist Nifemi plays, I am reminded of my visit to Dami Shaw’s and how we had a good time dancing to the song.
🎵 This French song, 🎶Baby Girl by Neil Oliver reminds me of the period I got to have Makinde as a friend.
